Been a while since I’ve made an events post but there’s lots going on and I’m excited to share so let’s get to it!
Bay to Breakers – May 17th @ 8 AM
Bay to Breakers is a giant race that spans across San Francisco from the Ferry Building to Ocean Beach. It’s a grand race where anything can happen! You will see incredible single and group costumes. You will see random houses playing music and serving drinks (usually by panhandle). You’ll even see a group of people dressed as salmon running backwards! Check it all out bright and early May 17th.
SF Carnaval – May 23rd-24th
SF Carnaval is a giant two day festival and one day parade that celebrates Latin American, Caribbean, and African Diasporic roots of the mission. They must shut down at least 10 blocks to create a mini festival zone full of games, food, music, and fun giveaways! On Sunday they have a giant parade that showcases the best music and dancing SF has to offer. Be sure to cheer for my favorite group Fogo Na Roupa!
SF Cake Picnic 2.0 Version 3 – May 31st
The Cake Picnic is an event where people bring beautiful delicious cakes and swap slices. The problem is….it’s so hard to get tickets and there are very strict rules and guidelines around the event; Cake Picnic 2.0 is more open to all and usually happens at the same day but this time it’s the weekend after! Enjoy delicious cakes with a great view of Fort Mason at the third version of this tasty event.
